Overview
Our monthly club meetup mission is to bring harmonica players together for skill development, friendship, and FUN!
We spend time on harmonica techniques, chords, scales, riffs, and songs, as well as learning blues harmonica.
There are no dues to join the San Diego Harmonica Club. Membership is free!
Bring a harmonica in the key of C to each Meetup. Blues Players, bring an A. See you there!

Meetup Agenda Includes:
Harmonica John (John Frazer) will be joining us! John has been playing the harmonica for over 30 years, and is a lifelong singer, songwriter, guitarist, drummer and harp player. He’ll be giving a harmonica lesson at our meetup:
- Greetings and Introductions
- Intro to Harmonica Position Playing
- 1st position (Straight) vs 2nd position (Cross) vs 3rd position (Slant)
- Expanding our Club / Bringing a SPAH Convention to San Diego
SPAH is the Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica
After 7 pm:
- For those who wish to stay, we’ll have an open Blues Jam to guitar and backing tracks.
